For Low Self esteem, lack of confidence etc (aka Social Phobia/Scopophobia).
Confidence, self esteem, social anxiety, embarrassment and shyness issues successfully treated by Alice Pinion at the Maldon Hypnotherapy Clinic, Essex with Hypnoanalysis - a unique and highly effective form of Hypnotherapy.
Social Phobia is the technical term for a group of far reaching symptoms all based around lack of confidence, self doubt, fear of failure and low self esteem. It's probably the most common phobia and expresses itself in many ways - not just fear of doing a speech or an interview at work. It is the fear of any situation where the sufferer is likely to feel 'on the spot', embarrassed, humiliated, silly or judged. e.g. dinner parties, public speaking, interviews, presenting, singing, talking on the phone etc. A socially phobic person may suffer from any of several symptoms such as a deep sensitivity to criticism, negative self image, fear of rejection (which often limits their decisions in relationships, work, hobbies etc), difficulty in being assertive and feelings of inferiority. Basically a social phobic worries continuously about how others see them and think about them. They'll often invest a vast amount of time and energy in creating the image they want others to see and they're often quite adept at concealing their anxiety from others - even those they're very close to.
Accompanying problems and symptoms often go alongside this problem:
Many of my clients have often just thought they were the shy kid that never grew out of that phase -or just had really high standards for themselves (that they'd often never expect of others). Maybe for years living a limited personal, social and work life...Not going out with friends as it's far more stressful than fun, "Everyone else seems to have a laugh and all I'm worried about is what I'm saying, looking like, what they're really thinking of me."
Often a Social Phobic wont' go for that promotion at work, as in their eyes they're not good enough, bright enough, or just couldn't bear the responsibility it requires of them, or the weekly presentations they'd need to do. Often they'll talk themselves out of it even if everyone else tells them how great they'd be.
If any of this sounds familiar and you'd like to free yourself from it's limiting effects once and for all, be rest assured that luckily Hypnoanalysis offers an effective, refreshing and altogether very different approach by actually getting to the genuine source of the problem rather than just masking symptoms.
Just imagine not carrying all that baggage around with you for the rest of your life - no matter how much you think you've gotten "used to it" or "deserve it" or "it's just the way I'm made"! Just think of how very very different life would be if you didn't have to go through it with the handbrake on all the time?
In the entirely understanding and non-judgemental atmosphere of Alice's highly professional consulting room you will work together with her using Pure Hypnoanalysis to allow those bottled up emotions which reside deep within your unconscious mind to naturally surface and be cathartically released - leaving you feeling lighter, better, free from all those symptoms.
Support, understanding and empathy are all integral when working with Alice and you'll soon see it is not like that of other talking therapies or counseling. Instead of just raking over the past and trying to intellectually come to terms with issues, Hypnosis and Free Association allow clean excision of the unconscious reasons for your social anxietyand then those pent up emotions finally resolve and are truly released. In doing so any directly and often many indirectly related symptoms disappear for good and you can just simply get on with happily living that life you've always wanted and be the person you've always wanted to be. No brainwashing involved, no more management of stresses and insecurities just to get by - quite simply you will have the choices as the same person you were but crucially without all the unconscious baggage holding you back in life.
"I saw Alice for 12 sessions and through her sensitive and encouraging guidance was able to deal with issues that were still unsolved despite numerous attempts to sort myself out. Alice is extremely skillful with just the right balance of seriousness and humour. You feel that you are able to trust her with your most secret, secrets. She enables you to help yourself and feel differently about yourself and your problems. I feel a different person and am much better able to cope with life in general and in particular with my deafness. This is never going to get better the only thing that has changed is my attitude towards it. Thank you Alice!"

"I started my sessions [on the south coast with another IAPH therapist] then moved to Essex half way through, [and continued my therapy] with Alice. Now I have come to the end of my treatment I just wanted to e-mail you and let you [both] know how I got on.
Alice was fab, really lovely lady, she put me at ease straight away. I think I had about 4 or 5 sessions with her, my last session was about a week ago. I cannot believe how good I feel about myself, I have never had so much confidence before, I actually like myself, which is a new thing for me, in fact I would go as far as saying I love who I am and how I look. I get compliments from a lot of people, I just feel like I am shining from the inside, I love it. There wasn't one big issue I had, it was lots of little things that I had in my head, that made one big issue - things like sex, when I first started my periods, not thinking I was good enough from a very young age, and other various bits that built up and left me feeling, well horrible and worthless. I find I don't blush and feel embarrassed about myself - or when topics of conversation come up that I am embarrassed about or that I don't want to talk about and I just find life that much easier.
I'm [now] off to work in the South of France ...I would never have been able to do that without the help of you and Alice, so I would like to thank you very much for my treatment...and how I feel today. I am so pleased I chose hypnotherapy and I will be recommending it to any of my friends or family."
Fiona, Great Dunmow, Herts/Essex (Social Phobia - low confidence, self image etc. - Hypnoanalysis)
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you whole heartedly
for giving me my self respect and life back. I no longer feel like every
day is a battle and the weight that was bearing down on me has been lifted.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the patience and understanding
you showed me, never making me feel silly or embarrassed. I would , and
have recommend you to anyone I cared about. Alice, you’re a star!"
Teresa, Saffron Walden, Suffolk (Low self esteem, self confidence and persistant weight issues)
"I am always talking to people about the fact that I have had hypnotherapy and I can't stress to them enough how much it has changed my life! I almost don't want to say aloud just how amazing it was incase I jinx myself!
In the last few week my whole world just flipped from negative to positive. I no longer have a past that haunts me. I can look back almost as though looking at someone else's life...
...My spark has comes back...
I finally feel that I know who I am and I am happy with that. I have an understanding of myself which has really helped me...
I know this may sound silly but I think of you most days as you truly changed my life. I suppose in a way you gave me back my life without sounding cheesey and I am eternally grateful for that...
I'm not scared of life anymore ...Thanks Alice!"
Sally, Stansted, Essex (Panic attacks, fainting, self esteem etc. - Hypnoanalysis)
